September School Holiday Workshops

Spring into the School Holidays with Filmbites workshops! 

We have a brand new addition to our usual school holiday program... Dungeons and Dragons! Have a day full of creativity and adventure lead by our skilled and experienced instructor/ Dungeon Master. Or join in our usual classics like Animation, Game Design, Makeup SFX and more!

Makeup SFX 

Tuesday the 24th of September, 11am - 1pm @ Filmbites, 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 10 - 17. Doors open at 10:45am and close at 1:15pm.

Taught by industry professional Stephanie Davis, learn the technical skills of Makeup SFX through the fun of doing it!

Animation

 Learn the interface and navigation for Tahoma, a free software you can learn to use to create super fun animations. This is an exceptional skill to learn if you ever wish to work in the growing entertainment, content creation and resources industries.

Game Design

Wednesday the 25th of September, 10am - 3pm OR

Monday the 30th of September, 10am - 3pm

Why just play games when you can learn how to make them. In this workshop you’ll learn how to make 3 different types of games, using Gamemaker software, then get to play each others games. Super fun day for gamers!

Junior Screen Acting

This workshop is an introduction to acting in front of the camera! If you want to learn the important differences between stage and screen acting through creating your own scene this workshop is for you!

Green Screen

Be a part of both the crew and cast by devising and filming short scenes in Filmbites’ very own green screen studio. Then, head into the computer lab to learn, hands-on, how to add your very own special effects from industry professionals.

Make a Movie

Monday the 30th of September, Tuesday the 1st and Wednesday the 2nd of October, 10am - 3pm each day. Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga, Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm. Ages 10 - 16
Learn the ins and outs of Filmmaking in this three day workshop. All participants are hands on in camera equipment, directing, acting and more! At the end of the three days participants will walk away with their own group film as well as the skills to plan, film and edit a short film.

Dungeons and Dragons - Tabletop Adventures Campaign

Thursday the 3rd of October, 10am - 3pm. Filmbites 6/31 Oxleigh Drive Malaga. Ages 13 - 17. Doors open at 9:45am and close at 3:15pm
Led by seasoned Game Master Grace, as a team of six players, you will be guided to create your own epic tale in this day long game of Dungeons and Dragons. Get creative making your own character and feel the pressure make challenging decisions and solving complex puzzles.
