Venomous Snake Display & Education Experience

Join us this September for a FREE venomous snake display at the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre in Ipswich. Reptile Awareness Displays of Australia (RADOA) will present a fascinating display featuring six species of Australia's most venomous snakes! Visitors will have the opportunity to observe these remarkable reptiles up close in secure display enclosures while learning about their behaviour, ecological importance and the role they play in healthy ecosystems.

Featured species will include the Eastern Brown Snake, Red-bellied Black Snake and Common Death Adder. Throughout the day, RADOA's presenter Dr Chantelle Derez will be available to answer questions and share insights about each remarkable species.

The display will also highlight practical snake safety information, including how to safely coexist with snakes in urban and natural environments, ways to reduce the risk of encounters, and what to do in the event of a snake bite.

This is a free walk-in event. Registration is not required; however, we encourage visitors to book a free ticket so we can gauge attendance and communicate any event updates.

Visitors are welcome to explore the display, speak directly with the presenter and deepen their understanding of Australia's extraordinary native wildlife. This is a fantastic opportunity for families and adults alike to learn more about some of our most misunderstood animals and gain the confidence to safely share our environment with them.
