This is a Project Helping Volunteer Experience in partnership with Denver Rescue Mission
Minimum Age: 10+, children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
Agenda:
6:45-6:50 - Welcome and Check-In
6:50-7:15 - Safety Overview and Assignments
7:15-8:00 - Serve Breakfast
8:00 - 8:15 - Clean Up and Thank You
What We Will Do:
Project Helping volunteers will serve a meal to the men, women, and children at Lawrence Street Community Center for Denver Rescue Mission.
What to Bring:
*All volunteers must be vaccinated in order to participate at this event. If you are not vaccinated, please consider another event as we work closely with at-risk communities during this experience*
A mask
Clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Closed-toe shoes
A hat (if you wear one, you do not need to wear a hairnet!)

About the organization:
The Lawrence Street Community Center offers those experiencing homelessness in Denver a safe place to go during the day, away from the dangers of the street.
Along with providing meals and access to clean drinking water, restrooms, shower facilities, and laundry facilities, the Community Center gives men, women and families experiencing homelessness an opportunity to learn how to participate in our long-term New Life Program and STAR Transitional Program.
