Event description

"Is my child ready for school?”

This is asked of Early Childhood Educators regularly and the problem in answering this, is that the NSW Government has made this decision quite difficult, with a window of 18 months for children being eligible for school.

We will provide the foundations for understanding and being able to answer this question, along with loads of teaching tips and strategies to assist in preparing children for this very important transition.

We will discuss best practice in providing this information to parents.

If you are a Proficient Early Childhood Teacher attending this workshop it is NESA endorsed.

The workshop is presented using a PowerPoint presentation with each participant receiving a hard copy in order to take notes and make comment as the workshop progresses.

There will also be ample time to ask questions during the session and at the end.

All attendee's will receive a certificate on completion of the workshop

Completing Set for Success - School Readiness Training will contribute 2 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) registered PD addressing 6.2.2 and 7.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching towards Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Please note that this workshop is being delivered face to face at Dee Why Kindergarten, however if Government Restrictions change due to Covid 19 the event will be presented online via Zoom on the same date and at the same time with the NESA approval still in place!
