Event description

Charter Oak Cultural Center presents

SETH RUDETSKY'S BROADWAY FEST

at Congregation Beth Israel (701 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT)

The best-est most amazing Broadway performances EVER! Get ready to spend an evening with SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky who will share with you what he calls the most amazing Broadway performances EVER!

Seth has worked on Broadway for over twenty-five years and his recent book Musical Theatre For Dummies recently made the New York Times Holiday Buying Guide. Seth is willing to bet that you’ll leave the show being obsessed with stars like Sutton Foster, Patti LuPone, Alex Newell, Betty Buckley, Ben Platt, Audra McDonald, Donna McKechnie and Chita Rivera and immediately get yourself to NYC to see a Broadway musical! And the evening isn’t just about being blown away by the brilliance of Broadway stars...it will also be chock full Seth’s hilarious comedy. There’s a reason why he was voted “NY Funniest Gay Male” at StandUp NY and you’ll find out why when he gives his running commentary on Cher’s performance in West Side Story where she proudly plays Maria, Anita…the Sharks…and the Jets! SERIOUSLY!

Whether you’re a total insider Broadway fan or you think Carol Channing is related to Channing Tatum, this is the evening for you!

Tickets: $25 General Admission; $20 Senior Citizens; $15 Students; No one turned away for lack of funds.

ONLINE TICKET SALES WILL CLOSE AT 3PM ON MARCH 7. REMAINING SEATS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR FOR CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

Seth will be signing copies of his new book MUSICAL THEATRE FOR DUMMIES following the performance. If you did not preorder a copy by March 1, there will be an extremely limited number of books on sale at the door for $30 for cash or check only.

Part of Charter Oak Cultural Center's Celebration of Jewish Arts & Culture.
