Learn how to use your sewing machine by learning to make a fun patchwork pillowcase. If you received a sewing machine as a gift or purchased one but don't know how to set it up, this is a great class for beginners. Your teacher will go over how to set up your machine, how to thread and set up your machine, and how to set it up to do your project. This class is for children aged 8 to 14. This is a drop off class. Participants must bring a working sewing machine, including its wires, and pedal. Sewing machine must be in working order in order to participate.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS

This class is available to take In Person at our Montclair NJ Shop.

IN PERSON CLASS

If a participant chooses to take the class In Person, then they are taking the class at our shop located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ. For In Person Classes, materials will be provided at the shop.

APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION

Participants must be at least 8 to 14 years old and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket.

CLASS PARTICIPATION

This is a Live event. In Person and Virtual Class Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. There is no recorded session available for replay. If an In Person Participant is unable to attend the class in Person they can request to join the class Virtually and we can arrange accommodations. If a Virtual Class participant is unable to log onto a class on the day and time it is scheduled then it is the participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event for accommodations. If a participant is unable to join and needs to reschedule, there is a rescheduling fee that will be billed to the participant. If we as the organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee, and participants will be notified of any changes.
