Sew Your Own Hoodie - November 1st, 5-9pm
Event description
Sew Your Own Hoodie • Wednesday, November 1st, 5-9pm • $45 • 18+
In this class, students who have prior experience using a sewing machine will dive into making their own hoodies. Our instructor Lori will walk students through how to take great measurements, draft a pattern, cut, and construct their own simple hoodie. Students will gain knowledge on working with knits on a commercial sewing machine, and will walk away with a new hoodie!
This workshop will run 4 hours; there will be a 15-minute break at the two-hour mark to stretch and re-energize! Note: we do not allow food in the education studio, but drink containers with sealed lids are permitted!
All tools and materials provided. Sewists are welcome to bring their own machines.
Prerequisite: Sewing Basics I & II or equivalent knowledge/experience (e.g., familiarity with straight stitch and zig zag stitch, how to thread a machine's top thread and insert a bobbin, how to wind a bobbin, how to work through basic troubleshooting on jams, etc). Experience with knit fabrics not required, but encouraged. Ages 18+.
