The pinnacle event of the SEWF22 program. This two-day hybrid event (28 & 29 September) includes 100+ speakers and 55 sessions over five stages, and is set to be Australia’s largest gathering of purpose-driven individuals in 2022.
The extensive program includes inspiring keynotes from Australian of the Year Dylan Alcott AO, climate activist India Miro Logan-Riley, Daniel Flynn, co-founder of Thankyou, and Kate Raworth, author of Doughnut Economics, as well as masterclasses, NoFilter talks, unconference sessions and fireside chats. The Funding Network Australia is excited to be partnering with SEWF, White Box Enterprises and the AMP Foundation to deliver an unforgettable night of live crowdfunding in support of three grassroots social enterprises. This SEWF Fringe event will be held live in Brisbane and streamed globally. All guests will have the opportunity to pledge their support with matched funding provided by the AMP Foundation. It is sure to be an entertaining evening of celebration, story-telling, and feel-good giving in support of cutting edge social enterprises making a real difference to people in need.

Each of the Social Enterprise Bus Tours will see you jumping aboard with purpose-led founders, social business leaders and good people doing great things in the community, government and academia. You'll hear from the founders of a range of social enterprises at various stages of development, and see what's happening on the ground, expand your network and learn from others.
Brisbane A:
Starts at Nundah Community Enterprise Co-Operative specifically Espresso Train Café. Then the tour travels to HELP Enterprises for a tour of the factory and lunch at Fision Food Factory. After lunch discover Australian Spatial Analytics their world revolves around big data, and neurodiverse people are uniquely able to interpret its complexity. Followed up with a panel discussion around ‘Tech for Good’. This tour will then stop by Mu’ooze for afternoon tea and some words with the founder before dropping you off back at BCEC.
Brisbane B:
Your first stop being Lovewell Project Café to ensure your caffeine levels are satisfied accompanied by some words with the founder. Next stop Mt Gravatt Tafe to learn about the amazing opportunities Mantua Sewing Studio provides people with refugee and migrant backgrounds as well as Jigsaw which has revolutionised the way people with disability prepare for the workforce. Then onto the Food Connect Shed; home to over 20 good food organisations and businesses. After enjoying lunch and a tour of facilities the tour then proceeds to Bee One Third where they work with local beekeepers, and the surrounding community, to increase the local bee population. The final stop on this tour is Worlds Biggest Garage Sale for a tour of the factory floor and their impact within the community before heading back to BCEC.
Toowoomba
 First stop on the outskirts of Toowoomba is Anuha Services – Polynesian for peace or sanctuary. Here guests are able to learn how this organisation grew from an Activity Therapy Centre to the multi-faceted entity it is today, heading up projects including affordable housing, recycling and sustainability, and community access. The tour heads across to 2nd Shot Café for a coffee, brownie and a chat with the founders. After learning the B2C side of jobs-focused social enterprises we head to Vanguard Laundry where we’ll see it on a B2B front. Then we head a little deeper into the Australian bush to Berry Farm, home of The Karma Collective for lunch under the gums catered by the Catering People & Emerge. Here we’re joined by local farmer, Rick Cameron, who is a passionate advocate for remineralising food to restore health.
After guests are filled with good food and good conversation, Metiisto Artisan Chocolate will have a stall onsite so you can purchase hand-crafted chocolates that ethically sources cocoa from the Solomon Islands. Followed by a tour of The Karma Collective studio workshop, guests can try their hand at candle-pouring. Finishing up with a tour of Berry Farm’s emerging food forest and permaculture patch. Taking a final moment to appreciate the land around, guests jump back onto the bus one last time to head back to the tall buildings and bright lights of Brisbane City.
Sunshine Coast
The first stop on this tour is Galeru Forever Fruits powered by SevGen. A beautiful property that is supplying the native foods for SEWF22. This Indigenous-run organisation will traditionally welcome guests and facilitate a discussion with its founders. Followed by tour of the property, performance and a native high tea full of native foods only found in Australia. Next stop - the beautiful community of Eumundi where guests will dine at EATS restaurant, a social enterprise restaurant focused on empowering youth out of generational poverty through education, microfinancing opportunities and mentorship. Here they create ‘Meals that Matter’. And lastly jumping back on the bus to head to Noosa National Park Headland to visit Deadly Espresso’s unique location and to bring energy levels up for an Elder-guided short walk around the national park. Take the time to enjoy the view of this gorgeous land before heading back to Brisbane.
LoganÂ
Starting at Containers for Change, a new initiative of Substation 33, with a traditional Welcome to Country by Dreamtime Artistry before continuing to Substation 33. At this point in the tour Logan Mayor, Mayor Powers, will join guests over morning tea. Next stop, you’ll find yourself at Yourtown. Whilst learning about the impact of the organisation, you can also check out their major landscaping and construction projects and all the action in their warehouse. Then it’s back on the bus to head to the Centre for Women & Co for lunch by Blackout Catering. Here Stacey Ross from Women & Co will host a panel discussion with Kim Rollason-Nokes (Ethni), Prof. Ingrid Burkett from the Yunus Centre, Tony Burns OAM from Multicap, Peter Harder from Joii and Mary Harm from Multilink. After some great discussions guests will head to the final stop the Spirits of the Red Sand. 60,000 years in the making, meet the Aboriginal elders and mobs of this great Southern Queensland region as you embark on an incredible cultural journey like no other. The perfect way to round out an inspiring day, you’ll have plenty to reflect on as tour makes its way back to the Brisbane Convention Centre.
Ticket price will include transport, coffee, morning tea and lunch provided by local social enterprises. All tours will start and end from the Brisbane Convention Centre.Â
