Sewing Clothes for Beginners is a comprehensive introduction to sewing to get you started with making your own clothes. It’s ideal for complete beginners, as well as those who have used a sewing machine before but still consider themselves beginners.

In this block, you’ll learn essential sewing skills while making a simple, well-fitting top tailored to your own measurements. All body shapes and sizes are warmly welcomed. Our studio is an LGBTQI+ friendly space, and people of all genders, sizes, and backgrounds are encouraged to join us.

Topics Covered & Outcomes

• An understanding of basic sewing techniques.

• A zero waste top (unisex) made by you, in a fabric and styling of your choice.

• A Sewing for Beginners e-book, with the instructions for all projects - so that you can go and make more!

• A sample book with all your learned techniques, for future reference.

Beginners: This course is suitable for anyone with basic sewing machine experience, as well as beginners who are brand new to sewing.
