Sex for Transfems

Sex ed is tough enough in first puberty, let alone your second one! We're here to help it make sense. Struggling to picture pleasure without dysphoria? Looking to ground yourself in a changing body? Wondering what "gender-affirming sex" even looks like? We've got you!

Geared towards trans women, transfeminine people, and their partners, this class welcomes you at any stage and path of transition. Our Lotus Blooms sex educator, Artemis, draws on diverse transfem experiences and his knowledge of the interplay between anatomy and sex toys for this workshop. By the end of class, you'll have had the opportunity to:

• Learn about anatomy at various stages and types of transition
  

• Normalize common sexual concerns and spark ideas for potential solutions
  

• Learn practical tips for various types of trans sex
  

• Pick up and examine toys and aids like vibrators, plugs, and lube
  

• Ask specific questions and receive advice unique to you
  

What to expect from this workshop:
This is an educational and experiential class, but it is not a sexual class. The focus of the content will be on learning about how to use toys in affirming ways for anatomy you're working with. Conversations will focus on framing pleasure, techniques, props, and toys in enjoyable and affirming ways. Participants will be able to opt in and out of any exercises or offerings.

Who is this workshop for:
This workshop is for trans women, transfeminine people, and their partners who are looking to explore healthy and affirming sexuality solo or partnered, especially during major transition milestones like being newly out, starting HRT, or having gender-affirming surgery. This class does not focus on gender play as kink.

Workshop tickets are sold individually, and each person attending will need a ticket. All relationship dynamics and configurations are welcome - come by yourself or with your partner, 'cule, or friend!

Meet your Educator:

You've probably met Artemis Haptonstahl (he/him) around Lotus Blooms already, whether he's singing the praises of grinding toys or hunting down your dream lingerie. He's driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to knowledge about their own bodies and pleasure, leading to organizing and volunteering to promote kink education. In and out of work, Artemis enjoys all the same things: rambles on sex toys, corsets, sewing, and the largest available cup of breakfast black tea.

The Fine Print: Lotus Blooms’ workshops are open to people of all genders and sexual orientations, individuals, couples, or groups. Due to state law, attendees must be over 18 to come to the workshops or shop in the store. This workshop will be held at Lotus Blooms. Workshops generally run about 60 minutes plus time for Q&A. Afterwards, attendees will be able to shop Lotus Blooms with a 15% discount. 

If you are running late:
Because the topics of sex, sexuality, intimacy, etc are so personal and often taboo in our society, our staff and educators work very hard to create events that make people feel comfortable learning and sharing. Much of the working agreements and standards of behavior tend to take place at the beginning of our short workshops. As such, if you arrive more than 15 minutes after the workshop is scheduled to begin, we will not be able to allow you to join this time around and your tickets will be forfeited. We hope that this helps to encourage people to come on time and enjoy the entirety of the event, and create a comfortable space for everyone attending!
