Gen Fricker (Headliner)
Sardonic, unique and downright weird - Gen Fricker has quickly become one of the nations brightest stars on the national comedy circuit, with her blend of sassy and dark stand-up delivered with a butter-wouldn’t-melt-in-your-mouth smile.
Since making her debut in 2011 as a national finalist in the triple j Raw Comedy competition, Fricker is known as a “must-see” act across Aus & NZ comedy festivals, as well as appearing by invitation at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Falls Festival & Splendour in The Grass for multiple years.
Bec Charlwood (MC)
With effortless ability and hilarious candour, Bec delights audiences with anecdotes about her life, and searing observations while wearing her heart, identity, and values on her sleeve. It has seen Bec become one of the most exciting rising stars in Australia.
Bec has been hand-picked to support comedians such as Josh Thomas, Wil Anderson, Zoe Coombs Marr and Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharaoh. She has also performed stand-up at Splendour in the Grass, numerous Sydney Comedy Festival Gala’s and comedy rooms around the country.
Jenny Tian (Support Act)
Jenny Tian is the nicest person in comedy. She gives lifts home, is never short of compliments and is always up for a bit of banter. But that doesn’t mean she’s nice on stage. Don’t be surprised by her sweet demeanour, she’ll cut you down if you deserve it. Straight-up delivery, no-f**ks-given attitude, Jenny will get you laughing at things you’ve never laughed at before – like ultimate frisbee. What? Yes, it’s true.
Brendan Hancock (Support Act)
Brendan Hancock is a Sydney based comedian and producer. A regular at comedy clubs across Sydney, he's a Raw Comedy State Finalist who has performed to sold-out crowds during the Sydney Comedy Festival and Midsumma Festivals. You might recognise him as one half of Sydney's goblin comedy duo, Two Queers Walk Into a Bar, how fun! Come get your honey.
Harry Jun (Support Act)
As an Australian-Born-Korean English high school teacher, comedian Harry Jun is painfully aware of the unique incongruencies of his life. He also knows how to use the word “incongruencies”. Utilising his English as a First Language (EFL) skills to his advantage, Harry’s comedy often pokes fun at himself, the absurd situations he finds himself in, and the people that reluctantly exist in his social circles. Harry is a keen performer who has made his way to nearly every comedy gig in Sydney. Sometimes he’s even asked to perform at them!
This event is brought to you as part of UNSW's annual festival of celebrating, questioning and exploring every aspect of sex. To learn more, check our website out here.
