Event description

How do women's sexual and reproductive health needs change as they age? How do we best support women with their sexual and reproductive health needs over the age of 65? How do we best provide information to older women from a culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds?

This FREE workshop invites us to rethink the assumptions that limit our approach to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care for women aged 65+. You will hear directly from two older women sharing their experiences accessing SRH services. You'll also hear insights from two guest speakers who have worked closely with older women.

By attending, you will:

  • Gain valuable insights into how age-related hormonal changes, societal attitudes, and gaps in service delivery affect the health outcomes of older women.
  • Hear practical strategies to provide more inclusive, empathetic, and culturally appropriate SRH care.
  • Have an opportunity to network with speakers and peers over lunch (provided)

Speakers:

  • A panel discussion with two older women lived experience experts
  • Dr Catherine Barret - CEO Celebrate Ageing
  • Sarah Codling - Partnerships and Participation Facilitator, Whitehorse City Council
