Session 1: Lavender Rebellion
9:45am | 2x Female/femme models
Lavender was never just a colour; it was a signal, a stigma, and ultimately a symbol of lesbian power.
In the early 20th century, it was a quiet code for same-sex love. By the 1920s–30s, it marked those who blurred gender and desire. In the 1950s and 1960s, it appeared in pulp novels and whispered reputations, both secretive and scandalous.
By the 1970s, lesbians boldly reclaimed it with the rallying cry of the “Lavender Menace,” transforming insult into power. Since then, lavender has remained a colour of solidarity, erotic freedom, and radical queer visibility.
Sexy Gay life drawing celebrates lavender’s journey, from stigma to strength, as a living, sensual symbol of lesbian and queer culture.
Session 2: Hermes & Dionysus: Queer Gods of Fluidity and Liberation
12:45 pm | 2x Male/masc models
In Greek myth, Hermes and Dionysus were gods who thrived at the edges of order as tricksters, revellers, and liberators. Hermes, the boundary-crosser, moved freely between worlds, embodying fluidity and playful masculinity. Dionysus, the god of ecstasy and chaos, blurred gender and dissolved social rules through revelry and desire.
Together, they symbolise what queer culture has always celebrated: the power to break norms, embrace transformation, and revel in the freedom of fluid identity.
Tickets are strictly limited and available online until they sell out. There will be no tickets available at the door for this event. Purchase your ticket today!

*IMPORTANT* Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase and Event Attendance:
We ask that you communicate respectfully and appropriately. Sexually suggestive, aggressive, or disrespectful commentary will not be tolerated. Socialising is encouraged, but please refrain from overly boisterous activity, as this may be uncomfortable for the model and other artists. Respond graciously to all reasonable requests from the model and other artists, giving everyone the respect and kindness they deserve. Thank you for supporting a fun and safe studio environment that everyone can enjoy!
Please don't expose the model to the public at any time. If you must leave during the session and the door to the studio leads to a public space, please exit between poses and ask the model to robe up while you do so. If you become aware of a privacy breach (e.g., the door is open), address the issue or notify the convenor immediately.
Please do not take photos of models without their permission. Artists may request to take reference photos while the model is clothed or robed. The convenor may request to take photos during the session for promotional purposes while the model is nude. The model may not consent to either request. Please respect this. Pictures of the model cannot be privately distributed or sold, and the model must give their permission before photos of them can be posted online.
Artwork can be photographed when the model is robed and can be shared without seeking permission from the model. When posting artwork and photos online, please credit the model, the agency, and the group you attended.
Use of phones and smart devices is not permitted during the session. This is due to the risk of unsolicited photography and noises that distract everyone in the studio. Please put all devices on silent and place them in a bag during the session. Tablets may only be used for drawing if the camera lenses are covered with opaque stickers or tape.
You may change your view of poses at any time. Please do so quietly to avoid disturbing the model and other artists. Refrain from moving your chair/table/easel if it will be noisy or distracting.
Please respect the model’s performance space. This space is reserved exclusively for the model’s use and may not be used by the convenor or artists until the end of the session, where it may be used to display artworks. Maintain a respectful distance (1m) from the model while they are nude, including when changing positions during poses. Only approach the model's space while they are nude with their permission.
The model's purpose is to be an artistic muse. Staring without drawing makes models very uncomfortable. If you have finished drawing or do not wish to draw a pose, politely look away from the model or draw something else in the studio.
Our models work hard to deliver dynamic and entertaining performances. Show your appreciation for the model's hard work by joining in a round of applause at the end of each session. Your support and thanks are deeply appreciated.
Please refrain from using solvents, setting spray, and aerosol products in the studio. These may only be used in open-air environments, aka outside. Please collect all materials used at the end of the session and assist the convenor in packing up the space.
