Growing up connected: Havelock North
Description
How do we help children develop healthy digital habits without making technology a constant battle?
Join local community experts and Martin Hughes, Learning First NZ educator and national digital learning expert, for a practical evening focused on boundaries, managing resistance and maintaining connection as children’s digital lives evolve.
We’ll look at the impact of screens across the whole day, what families and schools are seeing locally, and what to prepare for as children transition from primary school into Intermediate and beyond, when peer influence and digital independence increase.
This isn’t about children not using technology. It’s about helping them build healthy habits and giving parents and caregivers practical tools to support them.
Adults 18+ only.
