Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner will join Rabbi Sam Zwarenstein in hosting this topical, insightful communal Shabbat dinner at Emanuel Synagogue.
Following services on Friday, 19 July (6.15 pm to 7.15 pm), we will come together for an engaging conversation between Lt. Col. Peter Lerner and Rabbi Zwarenstein over a delicious dinner lovingly prepared by Nora's Kitchen.

About Lieutenant Colonel Peter Lerner
Director General of the International Relations Division at the Histadrut, the General Organization of Workers in Israel, Israel's national trade Union Center that represents the majority of Israel's trade unionists. In his role, Peter is responsible for the international outreach of the Histadrut, bringing the voice of the workers of Israel to the global arena, sharing the lessons of the Israeli labour movement with the global labour movement, and bringing the successes of the global movement to Israel. Before joining the Histadrut, Peter Lerner served for 25 years in the Israel Defense Forces, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and the IDF Spokesperson for foreign media.
