Shags & Bobs is an advanced haircutting workshop delivered in our accelerated learning format, combining dual-educator demonstrations with guided hands-on practice. This class emphasises clarity in technique, thoughtful design, and adaptable methods that translate seamlessly behind the chair.

Led by Ernesto Meneses, the workshop explores the relationship between structure and movement showing how strong foundations support modern, wearable haircuts with longevity.

What You’ll Experience

• 2 live haircut demonstrations

• 2 hands-on haircuts per attendee with guided educator support

• Exploration of shag layering, movement, and internal shape

• Precision bob techniques, including line work, structure, and personalisation

• Reinforcement of essential cutting principles: sectioning, elevation, and weight distribution

This is a focused, high-impact workshop for stylists ready to sharpen technical execution, build confidence, and work with greater ease and intention behind the chair.

About the Educator: Ernesto Meneses

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ernesto Meneses has over 25 years of experience crafting refined, wearable haircuts that grow out beautifully.

A member of the Mr. Smith Core Education Team since 2020, Ernesto is known for his precise technique and philosophy of simplicity and longevity. His warm, inclusive approach creates a supportive learning environment where stylists can refine fundamentals and elevate their craft with confidence.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be lodged via Humanitix. A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required to ensure no costs or penalties are incurred by the attendee or salon.

If cancelling 13 days or less prior to class start date, or failure to attend without prior notification, a refund will not be given.

Within 13 to 3 days prior, if you are unable to attend, your booking will be cancelled and a coupon code provided to equivalent value. Coupon code will be sent by email and must be undertaken within 12 months of the original class start date.

Within 2 days prior, if you are unable to attend your booking is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Mr. Smith reserves the right to cancel, postpone the date or change the venue, due to unforeseen circumstances or low course numbers. All participants will be notified.

Changes to Classes

Mr. Smith reserves the right to alter the class content, product focus, or techniques presented. 

Mr. Smith may change venue location, facilities, published dates of the courses and Mr. Smith Educator or Stylist facilitating, at any time and without notice.
