Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Mock Trial: “WHAT’S DONE CANNOT BE UNDONE” – BUT WHO MUST PAY WHAT DAMAGES?: Malcolm v. The Estates of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth (Viewing Party)
Event description
“WHAT’S DONE CANNOT BE UNDONE” – BUT WHO MUST PAY WHAT DAMAGES?: Malcolm v. The Estates of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth
Blood will have blood. Unbridled ambition, supernatural forces, and murderous desires reign supreme in Shakespeare’s most poetic examination of evil. When three witches tell Macbeth that he will become King of Scotland, he plots with his wife, Lady Macbeth, to attain the title through an assassination; a bloody act that lands them the crown…for a time.
For the Mock Trial, we find ourselves in Scotland’s highest appellate court where King Duncan’s son, Malcolm, is seeking damages over the wrongful death of his beloved father. Who should pay? Macbeth, the perpetrator of the crime, or Lady Macbeth, the instigator? That’s up to you to decide.
Join us at Birch Tree Bookstore for our viewing party of Shakespeare Theatre Company's stream of this epic, Shakespearean legal battle!
