ShakesPeers - The Women of Will
Event description
In honor of International Women’s Day, this month’s ShakesPeers salon is all about the women of Shakespeare—the iconic, the complex, the powerful, and the deeply flawed.
What’s in store?
Colouring & Conversation
We’re keeping it casual! Grab a Shakespeare-inspired colouring page, sip a drink, and settle in for a lively discussion about the Bard’s most memorable female characters.
Did Shakespeare love women, actually?
From Beatrice to Lady Macbeth, Rosalind to Cleopatra—what do these women tell us about Shakespeare’s view on gender, power, and agency? Were they progressive for their time? Do they still resonate today? Let’s break it down together.
Drinks & Community
Cold Garden’s got you covered with a fantastic selection of beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They do have limited snacks on site for sale, but allow outside food as well!
This is a low-pressure, community-driven event—no acting, no performing, just thoughtful conversation with great company. Totally free to attend, but donations are welcome.
Come colour, chat, and celebrate the Women of Will with us!
