🪩🕰️Shandy pres. 'THE BEST ROOM' feat. Boys' Shorts (GR/LDN) 🪆🎉
Event Information
Every home has that special room where all our most treasured possessions and finery reside - you may know it as "the pool room" or the "Good Room" - a place of pride, aesthetic joy, and precious memories.
And five years ago, Shandy boldly asked the question: what if we took the "Good Room", and cranked it up a notch - with a bangin' soundtrack and a roomful of sexy queers?
The Answer: some of the sexiest, wildest, and queerest parties that West End had seen in years.
Now, finally, all these years later, we're finally ready to bring that signature Shandy dancefloor magic back for…
🪩🕰️The Best Room feat. Boys' Shorts (GR/LDN)🪆🎉
saturday 21st february | 7pm – 12am | mirrorball ministries
After FIVE LONG YEARS, Shandy is finally making its return to our spiritual (and actual lol) home of West End - and for such a special occasion, there's only one choice to host our prodigal return - we're pulling back the curtain and going straight to the pool room of Kurilpa's newest pleasure palace: Mirrorball Ministries on Boundary Street.
We can’t think of a better place to welcome our extra special international guest DJs, hailing from London via Greece, and here to deliver their sexy and sensual disco-infused sound under one of the biggest disco balls we've ever seen - please welcome…
BOYS' SHORTS

Named one of The New York Times’ “5 Artists to Watch” in 2025, Boys’ Shorts are a Greek DJ and production duo made up of Vangelis (LAGASTA) and electronic recording artist Tareq. Blending house, slow techno, disco, and acid, their sound reflects everything they love to play in their DJ sets. In their own words: “We make people dance!”
They’ve released music on influential labels including Phantasy, HE.SHE.THEY., Polari Records, Permanent Vacation, Future Disco, Iptamenos Discos, Live at Robert Johnson, and Correspondant. Boys’ Shorts have delivered remixes for a diverse and high-profile list of artists including Alison Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, Nick Warren, Poolside, Yuksek x Polo & Pan, Kasper Bjørke, Woolfy, Boy George, Daddy Squad x Zoot Woman, Casey Spooner, Joe Goddard and more.
Touring extensively across Europe and the US, they’ve played iconic venues such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, London’s E1, Le Bain, Basement, Good Room, House of YES, and festivals like Lost Village and WECANDANCE. They’ve also opened for Hot Chip at the Knockdown Center in NYC and supported Alison Goldfrapp on the UK leg of her Love Invention tour.

🎵 NOTES FOR THE EVENING 🎶
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we hold this event, the Turrbal & Jagera/Yuggera peoples and pay respects to Elders, past and present - and also pay respects and offer our love to the First Nations community attending our event. We recognise that Sovereignty was never ceded and that we live and gather on stolen land.
We ask that everyone attending abides by the following:
As always, try not to assume gender, sexuality, or pronouns – if you’re chatting and vibing with someone, it’s probably worth briefly asking for their pronouns - and don’t make it into big deal if you get ‘em wrong: just say a quick sorry and move it along.
Consent is key – ask before touching and await a clear response; fuck yes or no thank you!
Be respectful and considerate – do your bit to make the space safer and more comfortable for others: a party is only as good as the people attending, and we all have a role to play in having the best night ever!
Racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, or transphobic behaviour/attitudes will not be tolerated. Please see Shandy team members, barstaff or security if someone is making you uncomfortable.
We want people to feel as safe and welcome as possible, so please feel free to message the Shandy Instagram or Facebook page with any queries or concerns.
Last but not least, look out for your friends and other party-goers & stay hydrated!
♿️👁 ACCESS 👂🔊
This venue is wheelchair accessible.
Strobe lights are not used during the event, however lights may occasionally move at a fast speed.
With regard to sensory concerns, the venue is essentially one large room, but there is an area near the entrance that is separate to the main dancefloor.
If you have any further questions around access and whether the event will be suitable for you and your needs, please don't hesitate to message our page for more info.
