🌊 Shandy Takes A Trip: OUT TO SEA 🛳️
saturday 29th april | 1 - 5:30pm | new farm park river hub
Mind the gap and hop aboard the infamous ‘Lady in Red’ for Shandy’s first EVER boat party – to mark the occasion, we’ve assembled a squad of the city’s finest sonic sailors to soundtrack our cruise along the Brown Snake, featuring DJ sets from:
After setting sail from the New Farm Park River Hub at 1PM sharp, the buoyant beats of our selectors will wash away your worries and get your body grooving and moving to the river’s rhythms – with all the foot stompin’ and booty shakin’, it won’t be long before we'll have the boat rockin’!
But that’s not all! We’ve always been big believers in ‘more is more’ and you're invited to join us at Black Bear Lodge the day after (Sunday) as we journey into the astral plane for 🚀 Shandy Takes A Trip: INTO SPACE 🌌 - head HERE to grab your ticket now.

♿️👁 ACCESS 👂🔊
Unfortunately the boat is not wheelchair accessible, as there are stairs at the entrance to both levels of the boat.
Strobe lights are not used during the event, however some lights may occasionally move at a fast speed.
The bottom level of the boat will play host to the dancefloor and DJs, whilst you'll be able to take a seat, chat, and purchase drinks on the upper level.
If you have any further questions around access and whether the event will be suitable for you and your needs, please don't hesitate to message our page for more info and we will seek to answer any enquiries you have.
🎵 NOTES FOR THE EVENING 🎶
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we hold this event, the Turrbal & Jagera/Yuggera peoples and pay respects to Elders, past and present - and also pay respects and offer our love to the First Nations community attending our event.
We recognise that Sovereignty was never ceded and that we live and gather on stolen land.
We want people to feel as safe and welcome as possible, so please feel free to message the Shandy Instagram or Facebook page with any queries or concerns.
As always, please don't assume any one's gender or pronouns - but also don't make it weird. If you get chatting with someone, it's as easy quickly asking "what are your pronouns?" and carrying on.
Consent is key – ask before touching and await a clear response; fuck yes or no thank you!
Be respectful and considerate – do your bit to make the space safer and more comfortable for others: a party is only as good as the people attending, and we all have a role to play in having the best night ever!
Racist, sexist, ableist, homophobic, or transphobic behaviour/attitudes will not be tolerated. Please see Shandy team members, barstaff or security if someone is making you uncomfortable.
Last but not least, look out for your friends and other party-goers & stay hydrated!
