Shannon-Aimee Bradley - DMA Recital
Event description
This recital constitutes the final performance in Shannon-Aimeé Bradley’s Doctorate of Musical Arts at the University of Canterbury. Each recital in the series has been designed to investigate a distinct vocal style within musical theatre. Across the series, the recitals have examined the relationship between vocal technique and characterization, each functioning as a miniature case study that traces a character’s emotional and dramatic development through key musical moments. This concluding presentation focuses on classical soprano repertoire, featuring selections from Adam Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza, Steven Lutvak’s A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.
Originally from London, Shannon-Aimeé has worked professionally as a performer in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
