About
We are inviting riders to provide feedback on what might become the future of motorcycle safety.
Our aim is to better communicate warnings and alerts to riders about hazardous road conditions in a way that complements your riding experience and prevents distractions.
We are working with Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and several motorcycle brands including BMW, Ducati, Honda and others on this project.

What will I need to do?
If you are interested in participating in our study, you will need to complete a short survey before our in-lab product trials. Our team will then invite you to our Centre for Technology Infusion (CTI) office at La Trobe University‘s Bundoora campus to test and provide feedback on our devices. You will have an opportunity to share your feedback with one of our researchers.
Complimentary light refreshments will be provided and you will receive a $100 motorcycle accessories voucher.
What are we working on?

Being part of the study is completely voluntary. If you have further questions, please reach out to our key contact below.
Who is eligible?
- Residing in Victoria
- Valid motorcycle license
- Recent riding experience (actively riding in last 6 months)
What are the benefits of this study?
Having a better understanding from riders about the pros and cons of various warnings and how they are delivered to the rider. We will use our results to help reduce motorcycle accidents and fatalities on the road.

How do I get there?
- La Trobe University is located in Melbourne's north-eastern suburb of Bundoora on the corner of Plenty Road and Kingsbury drive.
- You can park at Car park 2 (CP2), Car park 3 (CP3) or the visitor's car park area (see map below or Google maps)
- After parking, please make your way to our Centre for Technology Infusion office located in the David Myers West Building
