About
We are inviting riders to provide feedback on what might become the future of motorcycle safety.
Our aim is to better communicate warnings and alerts to riders about hazardous road conditions in a way that complements your riding experience and prevents distractions.
We are working with Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and several motorcycle brands including BMW, Ducati, Honda and others on this project.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What will IÂ need to do?Â
If you are interested in participating in our study, we will ask you to participate in a one-to-one meeting with the research team at La Trobe University - Centre for Technology Infusion (Motorcycle Simulator Office DMW 111), where you will be sitting on a motorcycle simulator and riding in a controlled, virtual environment. During the trial, we will ask you to do three rounds around virtual map while sitting on the motorcycle simulator. In total, this will take 90 minutes
Complimentary light refreshments will be provided, and you will receive a $100 motorcycle accessories voucher.
What are we working on?
We are inviting riders to test and provide feedback on what might become the future of motorcycle safety. We are working with motorcycle manufacturers and the government, to make the future of motorcycling safer through new technologies known as Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). This technology can only be successful with the help of riders like you. That’s why we invite you to come and try them at a motorcycle simulator.
This is your chance to get a taste of the future of motorcycling and share your valuable input with us.
We are working with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and several motorcycle brands including BMW, Ducati, and Honda on
this project.
