SHARE Forum: 2026 wrap up
Description
What is SHARE?
SHARE is a network for people who work with young people around sexual health and relationships education. SHARE aims to provide regular support, through regular forums, so workers can better support and educate the young people they work with. SHARE forums are an opportunity for professionals to come together and discuss emerging information, share sector and organisation updates, and present new resources.
What is the topic for this SHARE forum?
The November 2026 SHARE Forum will be an end-of-year wrap up. A chance for the youth and sexual health sectors to come together and reflect on 2026, and to also discuss what’s in store for the year ahead.
The forum will include sector stories of success from 2026, including presentations from:
WA Department of Health’s Sexual Health and Blood-borne Virus Program on their work to increase awareness and impact of the manosphere and online misogyny in WA.
SHQ on the ‘SHQ 2 U’ mobile cervical screening project;
Thread on their ‘Srikandi Project’, aiming to engage Asian women in HIV awareness and prevention through culture and connection.
Youth Pride Network on their 2026 events and projects to support LGBTIQA+ young people in WA.
It is also an opportunity to seek support and collaboration from other organisations within the sector. Plenty of time during the forum will be allocated to building connections and networking.
Who should come?
Anyone who works with young people who wants to keep up-to-date with sexual health topics, meet others in the field and share resources.
Whether this is your first SHARE forum or you’re a regular attendee, all are welcome.
What do I need to bring?
As this is not a formal meeting, and there will be no Minutes sent out after the event. If you would like to write any notes, you may wish to bring a note pad and pen.
We will also have a table set up for displaying any resources, handouts or information you might like to bring and share with the group.
Please keep an eye out for discussion questions we will be sending out ahead of the forum. These will help guide our open floor discussion time reflecting on the year and looking ahead to 2027.
