Share Kai & Kōrero
Event description
Do you love food? Do you love celebrating and embracing cultures and trying their new or unique delicacies and dishes that are full of flavour? We do too, and we would love you to join us at one of the very first Share Kai events in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
Share Kai is a tasty and fun way to connect with people in our city and region, uniting over food. Bring your appetite for kai and kōrero, as we eat some delicious food that you may not have tasted before. The food will provided by a group of cooks from the Afghani community, mentored by Foundation Cafe.
This event has evolved out of the student hui, Our Ōtautahi, Stronger Together, where students from across the region came together to have gritty conversations on belonging. It was clear from their suggestions that there is an appetite for more events where we can learn about other cultures and celebrate our differences.
We can cater for vegetarian, halal and gluten free (TBC). If you have specific dietary requirements please get in contact to check whether this event is right for you. We do not want costs to be a barrier to join us, therefore we are offering a range of tickets prices. Please select the one you are able to afford.
Join in with the celebration of food, culture and connection before the holiday festivities dominate our calendars.
