Shared Value In-Practice Series | Forging Issues-First Partnerships: One Stop One Story Hub

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Twenty-five corporate and community partners.

One shared issue. One shared value initiative. And the potential to change thousands of lives.

Join us, to hear the story behind the award-winning One Stop One Story Hub, an issues-first initiative designed to more easily connect Australians with financial support - without having to tell their story multiple times.

Often, Australia's support services aren't used to their full potential, due to the fragmentation of hardship services, and the resulting need to keep retelling one’s story; which can lead to re-traumatisation. Of course, this is inefficient for the organisations involved too.

So, the Thriving Communities Partnership convened a group of community and corporate organisations invested in addressing this issue, including AGL, Anglicare WA, Brotherhood of St Laurence, Commonwealth Bank, Financial Counselling Victoria, Infoxchange, QCOSS, Sydney Water, Telstra, Transurban, Uniting Vic Tas, Yarra Valley Water and Wire. Pause for breath!

The group co-designed a digital solution which enables people to connect to support programs through a single-entry point – where they only have to tell their story once.

Part of the Shared Value Project's new Shared Value In-Practice Series, this session will convene Ciara Sterling, CEO Thriving Communities Partnership; Jane Calvert, Head of Social Licence at Transurban; and Claire Butler, Financial Capability Program Manager at Brotherhood of St Laurence to talk us through this issues-first approach, and how they engaged such an impressive number of partners, the challenges and how they overcame them. All three speakers will join us in Q&A.
