Sharing & Listening Circle
Description
Hi there, you are invited to the Sharing & Listening Circle at Torriano Meeting House in Kentish Town, held every fortnight on a Tuesday evening :)
The circles follows a simple structure that allows everybody to be heard:
We start with a check-in, a short round where we introduce ourselves and share what feelings and thoughts are present in the moment, without going too deep. This is to ease us in and bring ourselves into the present moment.
Now the deeper sharing begins, and everybody gets an equal amount of time to speak about what is going on for them, uninterrupted and with the full attention of the circle. If you prefer to remain silent, that is okay too – it's its own form of sharing. Simply hold the talking stick for as long as you wish to be witnessed.
Once everybody has had their turn, the talking stick is placed in the middle, and whoever feels the wish to say more can pick it up and speak.
During the evening, overarching themes often emerge, and in this last part of the circle, we transition into a more informal conversation, exploring those themes together.
We end with a check-out, a last short round to bring ourselves back to ourselves and prepare to leave the space grounded.
Tea and (instant) coffee is provided.
Please note: We will begin on time. Once the door is closed, no admission is possible as it interrupts the process.

I believe it’s deeply important that we come together in real life and create spaces where we can witness each other and remember our shared humanity. These gatherings offer nurturing connection, a sense of belonging and the reminder that we don’t have to navigate life on our own. You are not required to share. Your presence alone helps build a structure to hold whatever wants to emerge when we take the lid off.
