Sharing Scripture about Food (Scriptural Reasoning)

The Council of Christians and Jews (Victoria) received a grant from the Community Bank Caulfield Park to start a new initiative to bring people of different faiths together around hospitality and conversation about their Sacred Scriptures. This process is called SCRIPTURAL REASONING.

WHAT IS SCRIPTURAL REASONING? Many people read, listen to, and reflect on scripture within their communities. In Scriptural Reasoning, participants aren't asked to abandon this; instead, people of different faiths come together to read and reflect on scripture side by side. SR enhances inter-faith encounters, deepens understanding of one's scripture and tradition, and helps participants appreciate shared values and differences. 

WOULD YOU LIKE TO EXPERIENCE SCRIPTURAL REASONING? Our first Scriptural Reasoning event, Sharing Scripture About Food, will take place on Sunday, 17 May, at a venue in Melbourne.

This event is free, and a Kosher afternoon tea will be provided.
