Event description

This event is part of the Veterans and Youth Wellbeing and Social Connectedness Program. This event is free thanks to funding from Panthers Port Macquarie and is open to all Veterans residing in the Mid North Coast Region, their families and carers and youth participants of the Veterans and Youth Wellbeing and Social Connectedness Program.

Join us for an uplifting day of sharing stories where we will hear from special guest speaker Damien Thomlinson, SAS soldier from the Afghanistan conflict. His triumph against adversity, positive attitude and ambition for the future continues to resonate with people from all walks of life. Above all, Damien’s incredible journey stands as proof that no challenge is too great and that the ANZAC spirit truly is alive and well.

Ultimately we are all creatures of story, and sharing our stories often helps to heal wounds we all carry. Do you have a story to tell? Opportunities exist after this event to share you stories with other veterans and youth or book a time to record your story in the MakerSpace Recording Studio!
