FROM THE ARTIST

"My research considers what the individual, collective and social choreographies of rest are, and how we can use these choreographies as a soft subversion to capitalism and grind culture. With a focus on practice and process over outcomes and productivity, the research explores ways we can come into right relationships with ourselves, each other, and the-more-than-human world, through resting, dreaming, deepening our awareness and strengthening our connection to Country.

I will present a sharing in an open studio format at The Drill Hall alongside my collaborating Research Artists, Kaz Therese and Geraldine Balcazar. We will be your pillows for the afternoon – guiding you into a restful state and supporting discussions around the project and its theme.

We will be available to receive you from 3pm – 7pm. Please join us at a time that suits you and stay for as long as you like.

Take a break from your Friday afternoon schedule to join us in doing the important work of resting, in a space where you have permission to drool.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes to move around and take a nap in. Light refreshments will be provided.

Cheers,
Paul"
