Sharodia: Tastes of Bengal, beyond borders
Description
Upon arrival of Devi Durga, across Bengals: Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, and Bangali communities all around the world, celebrate Durga Puja through seasonal produce, ancestral rituals, family traditions, abundance of food, and festivity!
While building a new home in Sydney following our dreams, Anirban (Another Whisk), and I, we both miss our homes, like any other immigrtants! Celebration of Durga Puja with food and family recipes shared with our friends and community bridges the gap between homes! It brings us joy and keeps us connected to our roots and ancestral kitchen rituals.
The British partitioned Bengal twice: first in 1905 and later in 1947 during the partition! But what keeps us still connected is the shared love for food and the celebration of Durga Puja!
