SHB Christmas Party

As 2025 draws to a close on a year with the theme of trees, it is fitting that we hold our final event on a property renowned for its collection of rare trees and plants. This flourishing 50 year old garden owned by Deidre Hill, is a plant collector’s delight with an extensive 10 acre park like garden featuring an array of rare and unusual trees and shrubs, as well as beds of perennials and ground covers.

Plantings began in the garden in 1973 to a backdrop of ancient Eucalypts. The garden features an impressive array of rare conifers including many Picea, Abies and Cedars and there is an equally impressive Beech collection.
