Solar Dwellings and Renew Perth Branch are joining forces for Sustainable House Day - Passive Solar Design 101

This talk by Griff Morris will go through the basics of passive solar design principles.  

  • What exactly is north facing? Don't all blocks face north?
  • What is the difference between Passive Solar Design & Passiv Haus?
  • De-mystifying energy star ratings, 
  • Thermal mass, what is it and how it is used.
  • Naturally cooling your home - Breeze paths/airflow.
  • Construction materials and how they affect your homes performance.

Booking tickets

  • Book early as space is limited at the venue.
  • Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for two tickets plus Humanitix booking fees.
  • All profits go to The Hunger Project which will go towards projects like the Akode Epicentre in Ghana.

At the event

  • Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start.
  • Enter through the main entrance of Home Base and head to Level 2 via the ramp and follow the signs to the Function Room.
