In a world striving for inclusivity and equity, understanding and championing disability advocacy and allyship are paramount. This SHED talk invites attendees to delve into the multifaceted realms of disability advocacy and inclusion, exploring the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and the pivotal role allies play in fostering a more inclusive society.

This event takes a look into the various dimensions of disability advocacy. You will gain insights into the diverse experiences of people with disabilities, including the social, cultural, and systemic barriers they encounter on a daily basis. Speakers will highlight the importance of intersectionality in disability advocacy, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by individuals at the intersections of disability, race, gender, sexuality, and other identities.

The speakers will highlight the critical role of allyship in effecting meaningful change. By fostering empathy and understanding, allies can dismantle ableism and create environments that embrace diversity and accessibility for all.
