Angus M. Robinson, both a member of FOKE and the National Trust (NSW), is one of Australia’s leading geotourism proponents and who will share his geological insights into one of Ku-ring-gai’s rarest urban forests - Sheldon Forest.
This magnificent Blue Gum High Forest community is one of the best examples of Ashfield Shale that explains why this forest is of such high conservation value as it transitions from Blue Gum High Forest to Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest.
This session will traverse only the upper part of the Tract where access is easy.
Meet at: Sheldon Forest, Enter via Warragal Road and meet at FOKE signs at entrance of Forest
