Event description

Shibari Rope Bondage Performance Night @Achos

Presented by Auckland Shibari Studio

Join us for a live night of Japanese-inspired rope performance and connection at Achos on K Road. Hosted by the team at Auckland Shibari Studio, the evening includes two unique performances and an optional opportunity to be tied and photographed during the break.

๐Ÿ“… Thursday 17th July
๐Ÿ“ Achos, Karangahape Road, Auckland
๐Ÿ•• Doors at 6:00 PM | First performance at 6:30 PM
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ $30 general / $50 couples / $35 door sales

๐Ÿงต What is Shibari?

Shibari is a Japanese rope art that begins with themes of restriction and sensuality, then often moves deeper into vulnerability, trust, connection, and calm. At Auckland Shibari Studio we practice Japanese-inspired shibari and kinbaku with a focus on technique, communication, and presence. This event shows how that can look in a performance setting: raw, real, improvised and safe.

All rope is done with consent, care and awareness. Participation during the break is optional and guided by the ASS team.

๐ŸŽญ Evening Schedule

Doors open. Come early, grab a Shibari themed drink and settle into the space
