    Event description

Embark on a Journey of Self-Discovery with Somatic Rope and Crystal Singing Bowls

This is the sixth iteration of this beautiful workshop. It has toured to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane!

Immerse yourself in a transformative experience that blends a dynamic journey of somatic movement and rope with the ethereal sounds of crystal singing bowls. This unique practice creates a sacred space for deep grounding, awakening your life force energy, and embarking on a profound exploration of your physical and emotional self.

    Unveiling the Depths Within:

    • Somatic Rope: As you move with the rope, its graceful fluidity engages your nervous system through somatic experiencing, a form of bodywork that allows you to tap into unconscious patterns held within your muscles and tissues.

    • Crystal Singing Bowls: The resonant frequencies of these bowls, especially the deep bass tone emanating from the 22-inch bowl, wash over you, gently guiding you into a meditative state and amplifying the somatic effects of the flow rope work.

    • Rhythmic Sounds: Interwoven with the bowls' melodies are rhythmic beats from the medicine drum that pulse in sync with your movements, intensifying the flow rope experience and inviting a deeper connection to your inner rhythm.

    A Tapestry of Self-Exploration:

Where the journey may take you:

    • Ancestral Echoes: As you move and listen, ancestral patterns and stories may surface, offering insights into your lineage and its influence on your present.
    • Inner Beliefs: Limiting beliefs may come to light, providing an opportunity to challenge and rewrite them with newfound awareness.
    • Emotional Landscapes: Dive into the depths of your emotions, navigating through joy, sorrow, and everything in between with newfound acceptance and understanding.
    • Energetic Fields: Explore the subtle realm of your energy field, identifying blockages and imbalances that can be cleared and realigned for optimal well-being.

    A Unique and Enriching Experience:

This transformative practice is more than just a workout or a sound bath; it's a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. By integrating movement, sound, and your interoception, you'll gain a deeper understanding of yourself (and your partner), cultivate vibrant life force energy, and step onto a path of personal growth and transformation.

So, why not take the plunge?

Jess (Somatic Experience Studio ) is a
Melbourne based Somatic Therapist, Rope Educator and Artist. Using ropes since 2015, their own journey of shibari practice has evolved into a modality that intersects somatic principles, as a form of intuitive bodywork. She personally enjoys rope as an artistic expression and a way to create physical endurance or fitness aspects over the years.

"Rope is just one of the many forms of complex conduits that we can use for somatic movement, seemingly with profound results." she says. Jess is a practitioner studying Somatic Dance Movement Therapy.

Jess currently tours Australia with this unique workshop: Shibari Soundscapes. Holds a residency with Peer Rope Melbourne and Sacred Primal Arts. She is the founder of their private practice, the Somatic Experience Studio incorporating movement and the 8 senses as tools for holistic health.
