Event description
In May 2020 our (then) 9-year-old daughter Charli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (blood cancer) and after two long years of treatment, she will reach her first-year post-treatment in May this year. It's been one helluva ride and one that is by no means over as the long-term side effects continue.
Over the last 2.5 years, we’ve raised over $280,000 for charities supporting childhood cancer, which is a huge testament to the power of our incredible community who have been heavily involved in helping us make such a positive impact - it's been nothing short of extraordinary!
Last year we held the inaugural 'Shine Like Charli Charity Ball' which was a phenomenal success! Not only did we raise over $88,000 for childhood cancer charities, but we also had an incredible night too! So of course, we 'have' to do it all again...
We invite you to join us on Saturday 24th June 2023 when are holding a very colourful celebration, proudly supporting two charities that are having a huge impact on the world of childhood cancer:-
- Childrens Cancer Institute - where all the much-needed research is done to cure every child of cancer
- Illawarra Convoy - supporting families with children facing life-threatening illnesses in the Illawarra
We have a wonderful line-up of entertainment for the night including Marty Haynes from i98FM and Founder of Illawarra Convoy as MC; live music; inspiring speakers; live auction with Auctioneer (and born entertainer!) Ben Mitchell, and so much more! There will be giveaways and an opportunity to secure some fabulous items from both the silent and live auction and raffle.
You'll also enjoy a glass of bubbly and canapés on arrival, a delicious two-course meal, and a bottle of red & white wine plus juice to share per table of 10.
All held in the glitzy main ballroom at The Novotel Northbeach Wollongong, this is a fancy affair that you won't forget! (and you'll get the warm and fuzzy feels for supporting such worthy causes).

Not sure what to wear? Think clothes that make you happy, plenty of sparkle, glorious glitter, and all the colours under the rainbow!

- General Admission - $150 + booking fee
- Table of 10 friends - $1500 + booking fee
- Business Supporter - $2000 + booking fee
Our Business Supporter Package includes:-
- Table for 10 people
- Business logo on the large overhead screen revolving throughout the night
- Business logo and name on the table placeholder
- Shout out on social media (Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn - across approx. 7,500 people & businesses)
- Logo included in print material on every table (300 attendees)
PLEASE NOTE: This is an adults-only event. As much as we would love your little ones to join us, this is a fundraising event with no entertainment for children. There will be some oncology kids present as they are an important part of the night, but I'm afraid we aren't opening the event to any other children. Thanks for understanding.
ALL profits go directly to the Children's Cancer Institute and i98 Illawarra Convoy.
