Shiva Shakti 2026
Description
🕉️ Shiva Shakti 🕉️ is a 4-day, 3-night dance & Bhakti Yoga retreat curated with love & intention, to facilitate a deep dive experience into nature, sensation, expression, transmutation, play, connection, and well-being.
Held at Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge (one hour outside Portland), we invite you to drop in deeply to your body, the present moment, and the energy of the collective. This year, we invite you to 2 extra nights of optional camping in the old growth forest before 4 days of heart-centered dance, music, and workshops.

OUR SHARED INTENTION:
At the heart of Indian spiritual traditions, Shiva and Shakti are the primordial forces from which all life emerges. They are not simply gods or deities in the way we often imagine; they are principles — living energies that move through every aspect of existence.
Shiva is pure awareness — the vast, unchanging field of consciousness, still and infinite like the open sky.
Shakti is the creative pulse of life itself — dynamic, flowing, and expressive, like the rivers and the winds. One is not above the other; they are not separate.
Together, they weave the tapestry of the universe — stillness and movement, emptiness and form, silence and sound. While ancient texts often speak of Shiva as masculine and Shakti as feminine, these terms are not bound to human gender or identity. They point instead to the polarities that live inside all beings — the dance between receptivity and expression, between witnessing and becoming, between grounded presence and flowing creation. In many tantric teachings, the journey is not to choose one over the other, but to recognize their inseparability within us.
In this way, Shiva Shakti transcends binary definitions. It honors the full spectrum of experience, welcoming those who identify as masculine, feminine, both, neither, or beyond all categories. The path is one of integration — where each person, in their own unique form, carries both silence and song, breath and pulse, light and shadow.

ABOUT US:
We are a van-dwelling, shape-shifting nomad couple. Answering a soul call to spread love, kindness, beauty, and awakening in our communities. Our experiences and treasures are offered as a bridge between East and West with cultural integrity.
Yoga, meditation, Kirtan, music, tantra, and dance – This is our way of life, rooted in reverence for our Indian & Hindu heritage and a desire for balance in all things.
Maha Shiv Ji and Ma Shakti’s guidance speaks to us through contrast and harmony, if we slow down long enough to observe and listen… The holy names of the Divine may arise in the heart, emotion may escape the body through movement or voice, authentic okay with others becomes possible where it wasn’t before. And of course, our favorite occurrence – The line often drawn between the Sensual and the Sacred begins to blur, when you feel safe and truly alive.
As curators of safe and radically expressive containers, we hold space for celebration, play, healing, and remembrance. Weaving music, movement, and ancient traditions into…. magic.
We'd be so honored to have you at the second iteration of this summer gathering! We welcome your talents, open hearts, and every bit of your light & shadow.
ABOUT THE LAND:
Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge is on 200 acres of old growth forest, a hidden gem in Northern Oregon. We are lucky to gather at the confluence of two waters - where the cascade of the Trout creek rushes into the Molalla river, creating exceptional swimming holes, lush flora, and a breeding ground for salmon.
