Shoeb Ahmad w/ Julia Johnson, Luciana Harrison + Nick Delatovic
Event description
Going on a little solo jaunt this September, the imitable Sia Ahmad celebrates the start of Spring with this mellow Sunday arvo treat for her hometown. With a rare guitar and vox only set, Sia shares vulnerable and heartfelt selections from the esteemed Shoeb Ahmad run of albums, a Spartak throwback and maybe the rare cover.
She is joined throughout the afternoon by three special local legends:
Julia Johnson -Â Armed with her little autoharp, Julia sings about big feelings and the light and shadow they cast on the everyday. "Like if Joni Mitchell had had to deal with Tinder".
Luciana Harrison - of Oranges and Pocket Fox, bringing dreamy chamber pop vibes but solo. Her new set charts a recent journey into queer parenthood, mainly through nature metaphors.
Nick Delatovic - going solo with a short burst of not-quite-lo-fi songs about chronic insomnia, adjustment disorder and being lucky.Â
Doors 3pm, first set from 3:30pm - no one turned away for lack of funds!
