Shoes and Brews
Event description
Shoes and Brews is a free event that gathers a bunch of experts on running and its related injuries, particularly at the foot and ankle, alongside footwear brands that design shoes for a range of different runners to help the community avoid injury and run pain-free. The event will be held at Balter Brewery from 12pm-5pm, and tables can be booked from 5:30pm for those wanting to stay on to talk shop and shoes. It's aimed at both the general public and Health Professionals. Balter, the guest speakers, and the brands supporting the night have been incredibly generous in organising a charity raffle to raise funds for Pancreatic and Cervical cancer research and support for those affected.
There will be a morning run on the Currumbin Esplanade with the running shoe companies bringing all different shoe sizes for people to trial their wares for themselves and to meet other runners and shoe geeks. Allpress Coffee will be there to bring the morning brews and the run will be at 7am and the wear tests until 10am.
