Event description
Shoes and Brews is a free event that aims to bring easy to understand education to both practitioners and the general public alike in a relaxed atmosphere. It consists of presentations and interactive workshops on topics that are related to walking/running injuries and injury prevention alongside time between talks for networking and exploring the shoes and other running-related stalls that are set up. The goal is to bring the public and practitioners together to advocate for our professions and improve the communities running longevity.
The event will be held at Foghorn from 1pm-6pm. There is food and drinks available for purchase at the venue and it is a family friendly event space.
There will be a morning run with the running shoe companies bringing all different shoe sizes for people to trial their wares for themselves and to meet other runners and shoe connoisseurs.
TL;DR
7am: Social run, shoe wear tests, and morning coffee 'til 10am
1pm-7pm: Shoes & Brews Event - stalls, presentations, workshops & charity raffle
