Short Course | Observational Painting - Thursday Evening

Local artist and educator Leah Bullen will teach a 3 week course in observational painting. This course is designed for those with minimal painting experience and for students who have completed the recent introduction to painting.

In this course students will develop existing painting skills using their preference of Oil or Acrylic paints. The studio exercises will focus on observational painting and the handling of tonal and colour values and relationship to composition. Each week students will be set a different observational painting task to identify space, shape, tone, line and composition.
