Show Her The Money - Byron Film Screening + Panel Event
Event description
Join us in Byron Bay for a screening of Show Her the Money, a powerful, multi-award-winning documentary that shines a light on the gender investment gap and the barriers faced by women founders seeking funding.
This grassroots event will feature a panel discussion with leading voices in innovation and investment, including:
Pauline Fetaui – ACS (Director), Tech Advocates (Queensland Lead) and Seven Sisters Foundation (Co-Founder)
Alex Andrews — Boundless Earth (Commercial & Investments Director) and Verve Super (Co-Founder & COO)
Stef Dadon — TWOOBS (Co-Founder & CEO)
Jason Atkins — TORUS (Partner) and Cake Equity (Co-Founder and President)
Background
In 2024, just 2% of Australia’s $4 billion in venture funding went to all-women founding teams. As we approach the largest generational wealth transfer in history, there’s an urgent need for both systemic change and practical strategies to close this gap.
Show Her the Money highlights US-based founders and investors driving change. Alongside the screening, a panel of Australian founders and investors will explore how these issues play out locally — and what we can do to create a more equitable funding landscape.
All Welcome
Whether you're an investor, founder, creative or just curious, this is a chance to be part of a meaningful conversation about funding, equity and real-world change.
Everyone is welcome – regardless of gender. We can all play a role in building a more equitable future.
