Join You Are Here for an evening of creativity, conversation, and community as they open the doors to their new City Walk headquarters for a Show n Tell.
This is a chance to explore the shared creative spaces, meet the artists, makers, and organisations who call them home, and discover more about what You Are Here does throughout the year.
You Are Here will be celebrating the incredible work created through the CBD Creative Workshops pilot, with participants sharing projects, experiments, and learnings from workshops including Touching Wires, Flip Flappin' Bird Puppets, Monster Making, Material Resonance, Hosting an Underground Community Radio Show, and a Petrichor Workshop.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet the studio and office residents, hear about their practices, and get a glimpse into the growing creative community taking shape at City Walk.
Whether you've taken part in a workshop, are curious about You Are Here, or simply want to spend an evening with creative people, You Are Here would love to welcome you.
Expect a cosy, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to chat, connect, collaborate, and celebrate everything that's been happening in our new home.

- Will there be food and drinks available?
Our hospitality partner Trust is providing a no-alcohol bar and a light supper. Please grab a drink or a bowl of daal, and support Trust FM - a new community radio station devoted to experimental and underground music.
Trust also donates a % of their profit to the artists.
- Where is the venue?
Blank Cultural Platform is in the middle of the city, on the corner of City Walk and Mort Street, right above King O'Malley's pub.
There are a bunch of different spaces in the building. This gig is in The Exchange on Level 1.
Enter through the sliding glass doors on the City Walk side, and take the escalator, stairs, or lift up to Level 1.
You will feel like you're walking into the pub on the ground floor, and then like you're entering an office building as you head upstairs.
- Can I park at the venue?
There is no parking in the immediate vicinity of the venue. You can park at the Canberra Centre or there is some on-street parking around Braddon.
- Is there public transport close by?
Yes! We are located right in the middle of the city bus interchange, and a short distance from the Alinga Street light rail stop.
