    Event description

Showcase SA Platinum members are invited to hear from local hero and one of the most recognisable faces of recent international fame, Dr. Richard (Harry) Harris.

Dr. Richard Harris has become a household name in local and international media after his heroic involvement in the diving expedition to save the young boys in Thailand in 2018, earning him the 2019 Australian of the Year Award.

Dr. Harry now uses this international platform to bring attention to one of the causes closest to his heart, the locally based foundation Operation Flinders.

Since 1991, Operation Flinders has supported young people between the ages of 13 - 18 who are deemed "at risk" by taking them on 8-day expeditions through the Flinders Ranges where they trek over 100kms, abseil, experience indigenous culture, and build confidence by challenging themselves.

Come and hear from Dr. Harry on:

    • His experience leading up to and since being awarded Australian of the Year
    • What this has done to his exposure, and why he's chosen to direct this to Operation Flinders
    • His experiences on leading the expeditions and the impact this has on the youth
    • What opportunities are there for corporates to get involved?

We'll also be joined by some of the recent program participants who will interview Dr Harris before we open the floor up for a Q&A.

    When: Friday, 29th January 2021 12pm - 2pm.

    Who: CEO's & Managing Directors

Where: Jarmer's Kitchen, 18 Park Terrace, Bowden SA 5007

    Dress Code: Business Professional

Tickets: 2 complimentary ticket per Showcase SA Platinum membership, or additional tickets are available for $100
