Showcasing energy efficiency in SA
Event description
Are you a little lost, or confused by all the information out there on electrifying your home? Do you want some no-nonsense information about improving the energy and thermal efficiency of your home? Are you a renter who wants to know how to do temporary fixes? Do you want to know what a green loan is all about and how it could help lower your homes running costs and repayments? … Well this home open is for you!
This rental home in Brompton will demonstrate what can be done in two months using all the resources us South Australians have available.
Come along to learn, talk and consider:
• How getting professional advice and input can help you find some clarity and answers (from a Scorecard Assessor, electrician, solar installer, REPS provider and so on).
• What type of work is eligible for the SA Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme’s (REPS) discounts and rebates.
• How much room a hot water heat pump needs and is it suitable for your house.
• How to actually get off gas and what are the costs.
• What can be done on a budget or DIY – and where to get products from.
• How to make the most out of the smart meter roll out and impacts of a time of use tariff.
This event is funded by SA Power Networks Kelvin Trimper Scholarship, and welcomes partners including Your Energy Saving Solutions (YESS), Brokerage & Co, Mission Possible and Cosy Wrap with more to be added. The home address will be listed closer to the event.
This is a Partner Event hosted independently as part of Renew’s Sustainable House Day 2025 program. Visit sustainablehouseday.com for the full program.
