Showing Up with Intention in 2024

I want to give back to my community but I'm not sure where to start. I'd like to join others so that my giving can make a bigger impact. I'm looking to connect with likeminded people so that we can volunteer locally together.

Part workshop, part networking session, we'll be exploring questions that can help us dig deeper into the personal "why"s and "how"s of getting involved with local causes. Grab coffee and breakfast with Spur Local and the Next Gen Giving Circle while we lead discussion and activities in small groups. By the end of the session, you'll have a better understanding of what giving back means to you, how local efforts could use your support, and where you can plan to intentionally show up for these efforts in 2024.

Who is Spur Local and the Next Gen Giving Circle?

This event is hosted by Spur Local, a DC-based small nonprofit that amplifies and supports 470+ community-based nonprofits making a critical impact in the Greater Washington region. Spur Local also administers the Next Gen Giving Circle, a group of young professionals who pool their donations to make larger grants to local nonprofits, which are democratically decided by giving circle members.

During this event, you'll learn more about the giving circle model and have the opportunity to join the Next Gen Giving Circle for 2024.
