    Event description

Join Nedd Brockman as he discusses what sparked him to take on the challenge and the lessons learnt on the road in his release, Showing Up.

Nedd says "Showing Up is a book that I’m hoping inspires, motivates, makes people laugh, lifts the human spirit and gives everyone the tools to believe and back themselves. It’s more than a story of what I did on my run, but there are some bloody good yarns from the 46.5 days on the road.

We live in a risk averse and self-focused world at the moment and I hope that this book inspires parents, grandparents, kids, tradies, everyday Aussies to get more resilient, to do the hard things, to take on the next challenge, to give back and help others and to get comfortable being uncomfortable."

Books will be available for purchase and signing on the night provided by Harry Hartog Warringah Mall.

    $5.00 + booking fee

Non-alcoholic refreshments and nibbles on arrival.

Nedd Brockmann is a 24-year-old sparky from Central West NSW who, at 23, became the fastest ever Australian to run across Australia. It was an incredible effort averaging over 80 kms a day for the nearly 4,000 km run. He embarked on the run to challenge himself, but also wanted to use the opportunity to raise money for homeless charity Mobilise. During his run, his daily Instagram updates captured the hearts and minds of Australia, culminating in an iconic moment at the finish line on Bondi Beach where more than 10,000 people welcomed him home in an emotional finish that will be remembered for years. Nedd’s relentless focus on never giving up by just showing up has inspired thousands across the nation to take on new challenges, big and small!
