Sydney Health Partners' Annual Forum 2024
Event description
Join us for the Sydney Health Partners' Annual Forum 2024, as we will bring together leaders in health and medical research to discuss health and medical research translation, integration and impact.
This year’s Forum features a stellar line-up of researchers and health service leaders, who will discuss the theme supporting translational research, strengthening research translation.
We are delighted to confirm our keynote speakers:
Professor Mary O’Kane AC, Chair of the Australian Universities Accord higher education review, and
Adjunct Professor Jean-Frédéric Levesque, Deputy Secretary for Clinical Innovation and Research, NSW Health.
As in previous years, a key component of the afternoon will be robust panel discussions. The opening panel will be asked “What do we need to do to encourage better integration of research in our healthcare system and increase its impact?”. The second panel will consider “How is our research ecosystem looking and what do we have to do improve its performance?”
The forum will also reflect on Sydney Health Partners’ activities of the past 12 months and celebrate the achievements of emerging clinician-researchers with the presentation of our Annual Early Career Research Awards.
Sydney Health Partners Annual Forum 2024 will be held on Wednesday 5 June between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, followed by an informal networking function.
Register now to secure your spot.
Please note: Due to unforeseen circumstances, two of our previously advertised speakers - NSW Health Secretary, Susan Pearce and CEO of the National Health and Medical Research Council, Professor Steve Wesselingh - are no longer able to attend.
